Ariel Gail
Professor Gail S. Goodman is Distinguished Professor of Psychology and director of the Center for Public Policy Research at the University of California Davis. She was credited with launching the modern study of children's memories of eyewitnesses, as well as the application of child witnesses when in court. Professor Goodman has published numerous papers with numerous grants, and has was awarded many international and national honors. Her work has been with numerous governments and organizations all over the world to conduct research and policies relating to children who have been victims of the legal system. She serves as a consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center that was formerly known as known as the Multidisciplinary Interview Center of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a fellow of numerous professional associations, including The Association for Psychological Science and the American Psychological Association (Divisions Experimental Psychology Developmental Psychology Society for the Psychological Study of Social Issues Society for Child and Family Policy and Practice American Psychology-Law Society Psychological Psychology of women and trauma stress 56). Additionally, she is a founding participant of the American Professional Society for the Abuse of Children, the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. Professor Goodman has been head of 3 divisions (Division Society for Policy and Child Development and Practice Division American Law Society as well as Division Developmental Psychology) and one Section (Child Maltreatment) of the American Psychological Association.
